Dr. Rickey Greer

Retired Administrator - Professional Highlights

  • Recognized as a Jonesboro Public Schools Golden Apple Recipient for exemplary contributions.

  • Strategically aligned resources and priorities, resulting in the school's removal from the Arkansas School Improvement list after years of being identified.

  • Conducted effective evaluations of instructional practices and guided teachers in refining their techniques through the Arkansas Teacher Excellence and Support System (TESS).

  • Led the implementation of professional learning communities (PLC), fostering shared decision-making and data-driven analysis among educators.

  • Directed initiatives with a focus on collaborative leadership, collective efficacy, and cultural competence, particularly advancing equity initiatives for students with disabilities.

  • Recruited, trained, and mentored support personnel to enhance teacher professional growth and student achievement.

Director of Special Education - Professional Highlights

  • Recipient of the 2020 Arkansas Association of Special Education Administrators Administrator of the Year Award.

  • Managed special education budgets exceeding $4 million, ensuring fiscal compliance through budget analysis, contract negotiations, preparation of reports and amendments, monitoring revenue/expenditures, and recruiting and supervising credentialed teachers.

  • Developed and streamlined timelines, goals, and resources in alignment with state and federal compliance regulations to support educators and administrators effectively.

  • Designed, utilizing evidence based research, professional development offerings to enhance the professional growth of certified/classified personnel and building/district administrators.

  • Led initiatives and projects with a focus on collaborative leadership, collective efficacy, and cultural competence, particularly equity-focused efforts for students with disabilities.

  • Identified, recruited, and trained support personnel and mentors to promote teacher retention and professional growth impacting improved student outcomes.
